Tackle It Tuesday

Thanks for joining me for Tuesday Tackle hosted by Lolli from www.5minutesformom.com. Each week we gather to discuss a problem that needs to be tackled. Come link up with us and join the fun!

Thanksgiving is over. Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday are over. Now it time to officially get back to the old routine.

And so begins time to decorate and get ready for Christmas. This week I’m working on putting the house back together from Thanksgiving and getting it ready to decorate. Unfortunately, I have two houses to work on as I do my boyfriend’s as well so this project will probably go through next week. I’ve got to get everything scrubbed from floor to ceiling and get the decorations up.

What about you? What are you tackling this week?

Thanksgiving!

Welcome to this week’s Friday 5! The Friday 5 is hosted by scrivener from www.f.riday5.com. Each week we gather to answer five questions about a topic. Come join the fun!

This week’s topic is: Leftovers

This week’s questions would have been included in past Friday 5s if they had been Friday 6es.

1. Leftover from April 17, 2009:  What’s a creature comfort (practically unnecessary) you must take with you on an overnight trip in the great outdoors?  Please consider a phone something that has practical necessity!

Makeup and a hairbrush. I might not be able to shower but I can still try to look presentable.

2. Leftover from August 31, 2007: What did yesterday cost you?  <– Thanksgiving in the U.S., but answer it for wherever you are and whatever you did!

Actually, I’m not sure.

3. Leftover from January 25, 2008: What was your excuse the last time you were REALLY late for something?

I was sick but it was the truth.

4. Leftover from February 18, 2011: What was your first online purchase?

Wow, I have no idea.

5. Leftover from December 25, 2009: Which of your gifts do you think you do not put to its best, fullest use?

Stereo.

Thanksgiving Week

Tackle It Tuesday

Thanks for joining me for Tuesday Tackle hosted by Lolli from www.5minutesformom.com. Each week we gather to discuss a problem that needs to be tackled. Come link up with us and join the fun!

This week I had to tackle getting the house ready to host Thanksgiving dinner. I live with my Mom and I was helping her cook. I had to make sure the house was clean and presentable. I went to the store with her on Wednesday to get last-minute items to prepare the food. Then on Thursday, I got up early so I could help her cook the food. We had turkey, stuffing, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, broccoli & cauliflower salad and rolls. For dessert we had lime salad, pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll and peanut butter pie. Despite a couple of minor distractions, all in all in was a good day.

What about you? What did you have to tackle to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner?
